Location : Rama I road, near siam Paragon
After a visit to the elegant Thai houses and Thai silk at Jim Thompson's Museum, Wat Pathumwanaram Rajawarawihan--an old monastery built under the royal command of King Rama IV for his Queen--is another nearby sight to see.
Interesting are monuments including the ordination hall or Ubosot of Rattanakosin Style enshrining the Principle Buddha image in the Attitude of Subduing Mara; the pagoda or Chedi housing the marble replica of Buddha's footprint; the marble Reclining Buddha image from Sri Lanka; the image hall or Vihara housing Buddha images from Laos; and the half sided pagoda enshrining the regnal Buddha image.
